Sylvain Périer, called SP 38, is a French artist born in == Biography == Sylvain Périer was born and grew up in After his studies, he lived in Paris for fourteen years (1981 - 1995). Settling first in Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood, he then continuously moved around and was involved with a number of artistic squats : CAES, Boinod, Garage 53 (53 rue de Saint-Ouen), Europaint, Trévise, Forge de Belleville, Turquetil, rue du Dragon, rue Blanche, Grange aux Belles... SP 38 was also one of key figures of "Zen Copyright", an underground artistic movement which gathered artists like Davis Dutreix, Momo, Pedro, Ed. Néant et Myster X amongst others. Moreover SP 38 has performed frequently in rue Dénoyez, painting and putting-up posters all over the walls in this Belleville neighbourhood. His works have been exhibited many times at the Frichez-nous la Paix Gallery. Until this emblematic place for Parisian graffitis shut down in June 2015, he remained highly invested in this location. In August 1995, he moved to Berlin, which to him "represented the place where everything was made possible for the Street art SP 38 still lives in Berlin.
